About this supplement
What Is Liver Support?
A thirteen-part formula built around the chemistry the liver uses on fat-soluble compounds. Milk thistle seed extract is the anchor at 300 mg, standardized to 240 mg of silymarin per serving, with reduced glutathione, alpha lipoic acid, grape seed extract and schisandra berry behind it.
How It Works in the Body
The liver works on fat-soluble compounds in two stages. One set of enzymes adds a chemical handle; a second set clips a water-soluble tag onto that handle, often glutathione, sulfate or glucuronic acid, so the whole thing can leave in bile or urine. Glutathione is here in its reduced form, and L-methionine supplies sulfur upstream of it. Alpha lipoic acid carries a sulfur pair of its own. The plants bring their own: schisandra's lignans, grape seed proanthocyanidins, baicalin from Baikal skullcap, curcuminoids from turmeric.
What It Supports
- Conjugation chemistry: Glutathione is one of the tags the liver attaches to fat-soluble compounds, and it supports that normal conjugation.
- Sulfur supply: L-methionine is an essential amino acid, and it and alpha lipoic acid both carry the sulfur behind glutathione.
- Antioxidant defense: Grape seed proanthocyanidins, schisandra lignans and turmeric's curcuminoids act as antioxidants.
- A measured milk thistle: The extract is standardized for its silymarin content rather than sold as plain ground seed.
Who It May Suit
People who would rather take one broad formula than assemble five separate herbs, and who like plant extracts and sulfur nutrients in the same capsule. A serving is three capsules. The capsule is plant cellulose and no ingredient is animal-derived.
Good To Know
Barberry root bark brings berberine, the alkaloid that colors it yellow; artichoke, beet and raspberry leaf make up a small herbal blend. Talk with your healthcare provider before use if you take any prescription medicine, since silymarin, berberine and baicalin all act on the liver enzymes that clear drugs from the body; if you are pregnant; or if you react to ragweed and daisies, milk thistle's family.

FAQ
Common questions
What is in this formula?
Thirteen actives across three capsules: milk thistle seed extract standardized for silymarin, reduced glutathione, alpha lipoic acid, grape seed extract, schisandra berry, Baikal skullcap, barberry root bark, turmeric, L-methionine, L-carnitine, and a small herbal blend of artichoke leaf, beet root and raspberry leaf.
How does it work?
It follows the liver's own chemistry. Fat-soluble compounds get a reactive handle added, then a water-soluble tag attached, and glutathione is one of the commonest tags. The formula supplies glutathione in reduced form, sulfur from methionine and lipoic acid, and a spread of plant polyphenols that behave as antioxidants.
What makes this formula different?
Breadth, and where the weight sits. Milk thistle is the single largest piece at 300 mg per serving, but under a third of the formula by weight; glutathione, grape seed extract, schisandra and alpha lipoic acid account for much of the rest, with eight smaller ingredients after them.
Who is it for?
People who would rather take one broad formula than five separate herbs, and who want sulfur nutrients and plant extracts together. A serving is three capsules, so it suits someone comfortable with a larger serving. The capsules are plant cellulose and nothing here is animal-derived.
What should I know before taking it?
Talk with your healthcare provider before use if you take any prescription medicine, because silymarin, berberine from barberry and baicalin from skullcap all interact with the liver enzymes that clear drugs. Ask as well if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have reacted to ragweed, daisies or marigold.
