About this supplement
What Is Bioactive B Complex?
The B vitamins are eight nutrients the body cannot make for itself, each one a helper molecule that certain enzymes need before they can run. Bioactive B Complex carries all eight, with choline and trimethylglycine alongside them; riboflavin and vitamin B-6 each appear in two forms.
How It Works in the Body
B vitamins are coenzymes. Each is converted into a working shape that an enzyme grips while a reaction runs. Thiamin becomes thiamin pyrophosphate, riboflavin becomes FAD and FMN, niacinamide becomes NAD, and pantothenic acid becomes coenzyme A.
Biotin clamps onto the carboxylases that move carbon dioxide between molecules. Folate, B-12, choline and trimethylglycine work the same traffic in single carbon atoms, either carrying a methyl group or handing one over.
What It Supports
- Energy metabolism: Thiamin, riboflavin, niacin and pantothenic acid are coenzymes in the reactions that pull energy out of food, so they play a role in normal energy metabolism.
- Coenzyme forms: Riboflavin-5-phosphate, pyridoxal-5-phosphate and methylcobalamin arrive in the shape the enzyme already recognizes.
- One-carbon chemistry: Methylfolate, B-12, choline and trimethylglycine each carry methyl groups into the methylation cycle.
- Amino acid handling: Pyridoxal-5-phosphate is the coenzyme of the transaminases, the enzymes that rework amino acids.
- Biotin: Biotin is required by the carboxylase enzymes of fatty acid synthesis.
Who It May Suit
Adults who prefer coenzyme forms to plain folic acid and cyanocobalamin. People eating plant-based, since B-12 does not occur in plant foods. Anyone who would rather take one capsule than assemble a handful of single B vitamins.
Good To Know
Riboflavin turns urine bright yellow within hours, which is expected at these strengths and harmless. Niacin is here as niacinamide, the form that does not produce the flush plain niacin can. Talk with your healthcare provider before use, especially if you are pregnant, or if you take levodopa or methotrexate.

FAQ
Common questions
What is a B complex?
The eight B vitamins taken together rather than one at a time. They are water-soluble, and the body holds only small reserves of most of them. This one adds choline and trimethylglycine, which are not B vitamins but work in the same one-carbon chemistry, to the eight.
How do B vitamins work?
As coenzymes. A vitamin on its own does nothing; the body converts each one into a form an enzyme can hold, and the pair then runs a reaction neither could run alone. Thiamin pyrophosphate, FAD, NAD and coenzyme A are all B vitamins in their working shapes.
What makes this formula different?
The forms and the strengths. Riboflavin and vitamin B-6 each appear twice, once plain and once phosphorylated. B-12 is methylcobalamin, and the folate is Quatrefolic, a (6S)-5-methyltetrahydrofolate glucosamine salt at 340 mcg DFE per serving. Choline and 200 mg of trimethylglycine per serving round it out.
Who is it for?
Adults who want coenzyme forms rather than folic acid and cyanocobalamin, and people eating plant-based, since B-12 comes only from animal foods or fortification. It also suits anyone consolidating several single B vitamins into one capsule. The shell is cellulose, so it fits vegan eating.
What should I know before taking it?
Expect bright yellow urine from riboflavin, which is harmless. Talk with your healthcare provider before use if you are pregnant, if you take levodopa, since vitamin B-6 changes how the body handles it, or if you take methotrexate, which works by blocking folate. Mention any multivitamin you already take.
