About this supplement
What Is Homocysteine-Methyl with TMG?
Trimethylglycine, or TMG, is the amino acid glycine wearing three methyl groups, and sugar beets are full of it. Beside it sit four B vitamins in the coenzyme shapes enzymes recognize, plus L-serine, a small amino acid the body can also make for itself.
How It Works in the Body
Methylation runs as a loop. Methionine gives up its methyl group, ends up one carbon short, and then either takes a new one back or leaves the loop for good.
TMG hands a methyl group over directly. Methylfolate and methylcobalamin supply one through the folate cycle instead, and riboflavin as the 5'-phosphate feeds the flavin cofactor MTHFR needs to make methylfolate in the first place.
The exit is different chemistry. L-serine condenses with the sulfur amino acid to form cystathionine, and pyridoxal 5'-phosphate is the coenzyme for that step.
What It Supports
- Two routes, not one: The methyl donors feed the loop while L-serine and B6 open the exit from it.
- Homocysteine: Together they support homocysteine levels already within the normal range.
- Cysteine supply: That exit is the body's only route to cysteine, the sulfur amino acid glutathione is built from.
- B-vitamin cofactors: Riboflavin and B6 arrive as coenzymes, the shapes their enzymes bind directly.
Who It May Suit
People who prefer B vitamins as coenzymes rather than as folic acid and cyanocobalamin. Adults eating plant-based, since B12 is absent from plant foods. Anyone whose practitioner has built a plan around methylation and wants the sulfur side of it covered too.
Good To Know
The folate here is a single form, a (6S)-5-methyltetrahydrofolate glucosamine salt, rather than a blend of two. Talk with your healthcare provider before use if you are pregnant, if you take methotrexate, which works by blocking folate, or if you take levodopa, since B6 changes how the body handles it.

FAQ
Common questions
What is TMG?
Trimethylglycine, also called betaine anhydrous, is glycine with three methyl groups on its nitrogen. Sugar beets are the commercial source, and wheat germ, spinach and quinoa all carry it. In the body it belongs to a small set of molecules whose main job is handing methyl groups to other molecules.
How does the formula work?
Methionine loses its methyl group during normal methylation and can then be rebuilt or sent down a second path. TMG, methylfolate and methylcobalamin rebuild it. L-serine and pyridoxal 5'-phosphate drive the second path, which forms cystathionine and ends in cysteine. Riboflavin supplies the flavin cofactor MTHFR runs on.
What makes this formula different?
The serine and the size of the betaine. Per serving it lists 900 mg of TMG, 3,400 mcg DFE of methylfolate, 1,000 mcg of methylcobalamin, 30 mg of riboflavin 5'-phosphate, 10 mg of pyridoxal 5'-phosphate and 100 mg of L-serine, which covers both directions out of the junction.
Who is it for?
Adults who want methylated and coenzyme B vitamins rather than folic acid, pyridoxine and cyanocobalamin. People eating vegan or vegetarian, who take in no dietary B12. Anyone whose practitioner works from the methylation cycle rather than from single nutrients. The capsule is plant cellulose.
What should I know before taking it?
Talk with your healthcare provider before use if you are pregnant, take methotrexate or another folate antagonist, or take levodopa, since vitamin B6 changes how the body handles it. Mention any other B-complex or multivitamin you take, because these nutrients overlap across products.
