What Is Omega 3 - High Potency?
Fish oil concentrated to an even split of the two marine omega-3 fats, with EPA and DHA at 800 mg per serving each. Lemon flavor, annatto for color, and two additions you do not always find in a fish oil: tocotrienols and lipase.
How It Works in the Body
An even split means neither job is favored. DHA goes into membranes, most heavily in brain and retinal cells, where its curled shape keeps the membrane fluid. EPA is largely spent: the body pulls it back out of membranes and converts it into short-lived signaling molecules that govern platelet stickiness and the close of an inflammatory episode. Both can be made from plant omega-3 fats in theory, but human conversion runs slow, so diet does most of the supplying.

Good To Know
Tocotrienols are the less common branch of the vitamin E family, sourced here from annatto, and they sit in the oil as antioxidants. The lipase acts on the fat during digestion. Talk with your healthcare provider before use if you take a blood thinner or an antiplatelet drug, or if surgery is planned, because omega-3 fats can affect platelet clumping. It is not an option with a fish allergy.
