About this supplement
What Is Curcumin?
Curcumin is the yellow pigment of turmeric, the rhizome that gives curry powder its color. On its own it barely dissolves in water, which is the central fact about working with it. This supplement uses NovaSOL, a micellar form in which curcumin travels inside microscopic droplets.
How It Works in the Body
Curcumin is one of three closely related pigments known together as curcuminoids. They are polyphenols: ring structures hung with hydroxyl groups that give up an electron readily, which is what an antioxidant does. Curcuminoids also interact with the transcription factors that govern the body's normal inflammatory signaling.
The micellar form addresses the solubility problem. A food-grade emulsifier wraps curcumin inside droplets a few nanometers across, and those disperse through the watery contents of the gut instead of separating out.
What It Supports
- A healthy inflammatory response: Curcuminoids support a healthy inflammatory response, part of normal immune signaling.
- Antioxidant defense: Polyphenols like curcumin help the body maintain its antioxidant balance.
- Joint health: Curcumin supports joint health, which is turmeric's long-standing use in Ayurvedic practice.
- A water-dispersible form: The micellar carrier lets curcumin mix into water rather than clumping out of it.
Who It May Suit
People who cook with turmeric and would rather have the pigment concentrated than seasoned into a meal. Also anyone who has taken plain curcumin powder and wondered how much of it actually landed. The softgel shell is gelatin, so this one does not suit vegetarian or vegan eating.
Good To Know
A serving is two softgels, carrying 1,000 mg of NovaSOL curcumin and 60 mg of total curcuminoids per serving. Talk with your healthcare provider before use if you take a blood thinner, if you have gallstones or a bile duct condition, or if you are pregnant, since curcumin affects bile flow.

FAQ
Common questions
What is curcumin?
The main yellow pigment in turmeric root, and one of three related compounds called curcuminoids. Turmeric is a rhizome in the ginger family, grown mostly in India. Curcumin is what gives the spice its color, and it is the part of turmeric that most supplement work is built around.
How does curcumin work in the body?
As a polyphenol it hands electrons to reactive molecules, which is ordinary antioxidant chemistry. It also interacts with transcription factors involved in the body's normal inflammatory signaling. The practical obstacle has always been solubility: curcumin is fat-loving and water-shy, so plain powder mostly goes straight through.
What is NovaSOL curcumin?
A micellar preparation. Curcumin is combined with a food-grade emulsifier, polysorbate 80, so it sits inside droplets a few nanometers across that disperse evenly in water. A serving is two softgels and carries 1,000 mg of the NovaSOL material with 60 mg of total curcuminoids per serving.
Who is it for?
People who want turmeric's active compound concentrated rather than used as a spice, and anyone building a routine around plant polyphenols. One thing to check first: the softgel shell is gelatin, so this particular product does not fit vegetarian or vegan eating.
What should I know before taking it?
Talk with your healthcare provider before use if you take a blood thinner, if you have gallstones or a bile duct condition, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Curcumin affects bile flow, and it binds iron in the gut, so mention it too if you take an iron supplement.
