About this supplement
What Is Blood Pressure Support?
A herbal supplement: two plants, concentrated into extracts and put in a capsule. Neither is a vitamin or a mineral. One plant is grape seed, taken from the seeds left behind by winemaking. The other is hawthorn, the leaf and flower of a thorny tree in the rose family.
How It Works in the Body
Grape seeds are dense in flavan-3-ols, mainly catechin and epicatechin, and in the chains those units form, which chemists call oligomeric proanthocyanidins. They are the same family of compounds that make red wine and dark chocolate taste astringent.
Hawthorn leaf and flower carry a different flavonoid set, including vitexin bound to a rhamnose sugar, alongside procyanidins built from the same catechin units. Both plants are polyphenol sources, and polyphenol chemistry is oxidation-reduction chemistry: rings with paired hydroxyl groups that give up electrons easily.
What It Supports
- Antioxidant defense: The flavan-3-ols from grape seed support the body's antioxidant defenses.
- Polyphenols in quantity: Grape seed and hawthorn both carry polyphenols that are uncommon in everyday food.
- A European herbal tradition: Hawthorn leaf and flower have a long record of use in European herbal practice.
- Named markers: Both extracts are standardized to a named marker compound, so servings stay consistent.
Who It May Suit
Adults who prefer botanical extracts to isolated nutrients and want polyphenols in a measured form. The capsule is cellulose with rice flour as the filler, so it fits vegetarian and vegan eating.
Good To Know
Standardization fixes the marker compound, not everything else in the plant, so two extracts of the same herb are not interchangeable. Talk with your healthcare provider before use, especially if you are pregnant or nursing, or if you take medication for blood pressure, for the heart, or for blood clotting.

FAQ
Common questions
What is in this formula?
Two standardized botanical extracts. Grape seed extract from Vitis vinifera, made from the seeds left after winemaking, and an extract of hawthorn leaf and flower. Grape seed brings the polyphenols concentrated in the seed; hawthorn is a rose-family tree used in Europe for generations.
How do these polyphenols work in the body?
Flavan-3-ols such as catechin and epicatechin, and the oligomers they build, are ring structures with paired hydroxyl groups. That arrangement gives up electrons readily, which is what puts them into oxidation-reduction chemistry. Little is absorbed intact; gut bacteria break most of the larger oligomers down.
What makes this composition different?
The amounts and the standardization. Hawthorn extract is at 300 mg per serving, standardized to its vitexin rhamnoside marker, and grape seed extract at 150 mg per serving, standardized for polyphenol content. Both name the plant part they come from: seed for one, leaf and flower for the other.
Who is it for?
Adults who want plant polyphenols in a measured, standardized form rather than from food alone. The capsule is cellulose with rice flour, so it suits vegetarian and vegan eating. It is not intended for children, or for use in pregnancy or while nursing.
What should I know before taking it?
Talk with your healthcare provider before use, especially if you are pregnant or nursing, or if you take medication for blood pressure, the heart, or blood clotting. Hawthorn is known to interact with several cardiac medicines. Tell your doctor you take it ahead of any surgery.
