About this supplement
What Is NeuroRest Peptide?
An evening formula built without melatonin. Seven things go into it: two free amino acids, PeptiSleep™ peptides from brown rice protein, extracts of holy basil, saffron and magnolia bark, and one strain of lactic-acid bacteria. A serving is two capsules.
How It Works in the Body
L-tryptophan is an essential amino acid, meaning the body cannot build it. It is the starting material for serotonin, and the pineal gland carries that same chemistry one step further, into melatonin.
L-theanine is the amino acid behind the savory taste of green tea, and it crosses from blood into brain tissue. PeptiSleep™ is brown rice protein cut into short peptides, chains of a few amino acids each. The Lactiplantibacillus plantarum strain carries glutamate decarboxylase, the enzyme that turns glutamate into GABA.
What It Supports
- Restful sleep: Tryptophan is the amino acid the body turns into serotonin and then melatonin, which supports restful sleep.
- A calm, balanced mood: Holy basil is taken daily in Ayurveda, over long stretches, to support a calm, balanced mood.
- Tea chemistry: L-theanine sits at 200 mg per serving, the amino acid of tea leaves rather than a leaf extract.
- Live bacteria: The Lactiplantibacillus plantarum strain is supplied at 5 billion CFU per serving.
- Flower and bark: Saffron brings crocins and safranal; magnolia bark brings DHH-B.
Who It May Suit
People who would rather take amino acids and plants than a hormone, and who do not mind a two-capsule serving. The capsule is cellulose and nothing in it comes from an animal, so vegetarian and vegan eating is covered.
Good To Know
The saffron is a stigma extract; DHH-B is a hydrogenated form of honokiol, one of the biphenols of magnolia bark. Talk with your healthcare provider before use, especially if you take an antidepressant, a triptan or another serotonergic medicine, since tryptophan feeds that same pathway and combining them raises the risk of serotonin syndrome. Ask about sedatives too.

FAQ
Common questions
What is NeuroRest Peptide?
A seven-part evening formula with no melatonin in it. Two free amino acids, L-tryptophan and L-theanine; PeptiSleep™ peptides from brown rice protein; extracts of holy basil, saffron stigma and magnolia bark; and a live strain of Lactiplantibacillus plantarum. Everything is in one vegetarian capsule, two to a serving.
How does it work?
Tryptophan is the raw material the body uses to make serotonin, and the pineal gland converts serotonin onward into melatonin. Theanine crosses into brain tissue on its own. The bacterial strain carries glutamate decarboxylase, the enzyme that converts glutamate into GABA, the brain's main calming messenger.
What makes this formula different?
It leans on amino acids rather than the usual evening botanicals. L-tryptophan sits at 500 mg and L-theanine at 200 mg per serving, with 250 mg each of PeptiSleep™ rice peptides and a standardized holy basil extract. Saffron and magnolia bark appear in small, measured amounts, and there is no melatonin.
Who is it for?
People who prefer amino acids and plants to a hormone, and who are happy taking two capsules in an evening routine. The capsule is cellulose and nothing inside is animal-derived, so it fits vegetarian and vegan eating. It carries a live bacterial strain, which not everyone wants.
What should I know before taking it?
Talk with your healthcare provider before use if you take an antidepressant, a triptan or any other medicine acting on serotonin, because tryptophan feeds that pathway and the combination raises the risk of serotonin syndrome. Mention sedatives and any medicine that already makes you drowsy, and ask first if you are pregnant or nursing.
