What Is Digestive Enzymes + HCl?
This is a one-capsule blend that covers three stages of digestion rather than one. Betaine HCl carries hydrochloric acid, ox bile extract carries bile acids, and Pancreatin 11X is a concentrated porcine pancreatic extract. Bromelain, papain and an acid-stable fungal protease sit alongside them.
How It Works in the Body
Digestion is a relay. In the stomach, acid unfolds dietary protein and switches pepsinogen into pepsin; betaine HCl is a dry, stable way to bring hydrochloric acid to that step. Bile acids then act like detergent, breaking dietary fat into droplets small enough for lipase to work on, which is what the ox bile is doing here.
Pancreatin brings the pancreas's own trio: amylase for starch, protease for protein, lipase for fat. Bromelain from pineapple, papain from papaya and aspergillopepsin keep cutting protein at stomach pH, before the pancreatic enzymes take over further along.
