About this supplement

What Is Adrenal Restore Complex?

Glandular supplements are dried animal gland tissue, taken whole rather than pulled apart for one compound — an old practice in nutrition. Adrenal Restore Complex is built on two of them, whole adrenal and adrenal cortex, with vitamin C, four B vitamins, PABA and N-acetyl-L-tyrosine around them.

How It Works in the Body

The adrenal glands sit on top of the kidneys and make cortisol and adrenaline. The nutrients here are raw material for that work. Pantothenic acid becomes coenzyme A, which the adrenal cortex draws on heavily while making steroid hormones. Vitamin C is concentrated in the gland and acts as a cofactor in catecholamine chemistry. Tyrosine is the amino acid those catecholamines are built from, with B6 as a cofactor along the route. The glandulars are tissue, not a mechanism.

What It Supports

  • Stress-hormone chemistry: Pantothenic acid supports the coenzyme A pool that adrenal steroid synthesis depends on.
  • Energy metabolism: Thiamin, riboflavin and pantothenic acid each play a role in normal energy metabolism.
  • Neurotransmitter building blocks: N-acetyl-L-tyrosine delivers tyrosine, the amino acid the body uses to make dopamine and norepinephrine.
  • Antioxidant chemistry: Vitamin C works as an antioxidant in the adrenal cortex, which concentrates it more heavily than almost any tissue.

Who It May Suit

People who are comfortable with animal-derived ingredients. The glandulars are gland tissue and the capsule shell is bovine gelatin, so this is not a vegetarian or vegan formula. It suits anyone who prefers gland-and-nutrient formulas to the botanical blends built on ashwagandha or rhodiola.

Good To Know

PABA is here at 50 mg per serving. It is the molecule bacteria use to build their own folate. Talk with your healthcare provider before use, especially if you take blood pressure medication or an MAOI antidepressant. Tyrosine is a precursor to adrenaline, and with MAO blocked that combination can raise blood pressure sharply.

FAQ

Common questions

What is Adrenal Restore Complex?

A nine-ingredient capsule formula. Two ingredients are glandulars: whole adrenal gland at 200 mg per serving and adrenal cortex at 50 mg per serving, both dried tissue. The other seven are nutrients the adrenal glands use in quantity — vitamin C, thiamin, riboflavin, vitamin B6 as pyridoxal-5-phosphate, pantothenic acid, PABA and N-acetyl-L-tyrosine.

How does it work?

Pantothenic acid is the anchor, at 250 mg per serving. The body turns it into coenzyme A, the carrier that moves acetyl groups through fat metabolism and steroid hormone synthesis. The adrenal cortex runs that chemistry harder than most tissue does, which is why this one nutrient sits at the center of the formula.

What makes this formula different from a herbal stress blend?

It is not botanical — there is no ashwagandha or rhodiola in it. The formula pairs dried gland tissue with nutrients the gland itself concentrates, including vitamin C at 100 mg per serving and four B vitamins. N-acetyl-L-tyrosine is a more soluble form of the amino acid tyrosine.

Who is it for?

Adults who are comfortable taking gland-derived ingredients and who prefer a nutrient-led formula to a herbal one. It is not vegetarian or vegan: the capsule shell is bovine gelatin and the glandulars are dried gland tissue. People who avoid animal-derived ingredients will want a different formula.

What should I know before taking it?

Talk with your healthcare provider before use, and do that first if you take thyroid medication: tyrosine is a precursor to thyroid hormone as well as to adrenaline. Ask as well if you take a sulfa antibiotic, since PABA competes with that drug class. Skip it in pregnancy and while nursing unless your provider agrees.
