About this supplement
What Is a Spore-Forming Probiotic?
A probiotic is live bacteria of a kind already at home in a healthy gut. Spore-formers add a trick: when conditions turn hostile, they wrap their DNA in a tough endospore and shut down. Five strains are here, about 10 billion CFU per serving.
How It Works in the Body
An endospore is not a cell doing less. It is a dried core wrapped in a thick cortex and a layered protein coat, holding almost no water and running no metabolism at all. That package is what carries the organism through stomach acid intact.
Germination comes further down, where amino acids, sugars and nucleosides signal that there is food about. The spore takes on water, sheds its coat, and the vegetative cell begins fermenting carbohydrate.
What It Supports
- Bacillus coagulans: Three coded strains of it here, and despite the Bacillus name all three are lactic acid producers.
- Bacillus subtilis DE111: A soil and fermented-food organism, and the largest single count here at 5 billion CFU per serving.
- Bacillus clausii CS1-08: An alkali-tolerant Bacillus, at home at a pH where most gut organisms are not.
- Normal digestion: Fermenting carbohydrate along the intestine supports normal digestion.
- Normal immune function: Gut organisms sit against the immune cells of the intestinal wall, which supports normal immune function.
Who It May Suit
People who already eat yogurt or kefir and want a different kind of organism alongside them. Anyone who would rather take spore-formers than dairy-adapted cultures. The capsule is hypromellose and nothing here is animal-derived, so it fits vegetarian and vegan eating.
Good To Know
Spores are dormant, which is why they hold up against acid and heat that finish an ordinary culture. Talk with your doctor before use if your immune system is weakened by illness or medicine, if you are having chemotherapy, or if you have a central line, since live organisms have caused bloodstream infection in those situations.

FAQ
Common questions
What is a spore-based probiotic?
A probiotic whose organisms arrive as endospores rather than as living, growing cells. Bacillus species can wrap their DNA in a tough, dry, multi-layered coat and wait. Five strains are here, three of them Bacillus coagulans, one Bacillus subtilis and one Bacillus clausii, at about 10 billion CFU per serving.
How does it work?
The spore travels through the stomach dormant, since there is no active metabolism for acid to interrupt. Further along, amino acids and sugars signal that conditions suit growth. The spore rehydrates, breaks out of its coat, and the vegetative cell starts fermenting carbohydrate the way any gut organism would.
What makes this formula different?
Every organism in it is a Bacillus, and every one arrives as a spore rather than a growing cell. Each strain carries its own code: Lactospore, BCP92 and Lacris-15 for the three Bacillus coagulans, DE111 for the subtilis and CS1-08 for the clausii.
Who is it for?
People who want spore-forming organisms rather than the usual dairy-adapted cultures, and anyone already eating fermented food who wants a different genus alongside it. The capsule is hypromellose and nothing in the formula is animal-derived, so vegetarian and vegan eating are covered.
What should I know before taking it?
Live organisms call for care when defenses are down. Talk with your doctor before use if you are having chemotherapy, take an immune-suppressing medicine, or have a central line, since bloodstream infections have been reported in people in those situations. Mention any antibiotic course at the same time.
