About this supplement
What Is Sodium Caprylate + Oregano?
A blend of kitchen plants taken at extract strength, alongside one fatty-acid salt. Oregano leaf, ginger rhizome, turmeric root and olive leaf all arrive as concentrated extracts. Sodium caprylate is the salt of an eight-carbon fatty acid found in coconut oil and in milk fat.
How It Works in the Body
The four plant extracts share a chemistry: phenolic compounds. Oregano's carvacrol and thymol are phenolic monoterpenes, the molecules behind its smell and its bite. Olive leaf carries oleuropein, the bitter secoiridoid that makes green olive oil sharp. Turmeric's curcuminoids are its yellow pigment, and ginger's gingerols its heat.
Sodium caprylate is the outlier. Medium-chain fatty acids are absorbed straight into the portal blood rather than packaged for the lymph the way longer fats are, so they reach the liver quickly.
What It Supports
- Antioxidant chemistry: Carvacrol, thymol, oleuropein and the curcuminoids are all phenols, the chemical group that hands electrons to free radicals.
- A healthy inflammatory response: Turmeric's curcuminoids support a healthy inflammatory response.
- Normal digestion: Ginger has been taken around meals for centuries, and supports normal digestion.
- Quick fuel: Medium-chain fatty acids reach the liver directly and are burned for energy there.
Who It May Suit
Suits people who already cook with oregano, ginger and turmeric and want them at extract strength. All four plants are bitter, aromatic and warming — worth knowing if strong botanicals do not sit well with you. The capsule is plant-based.
Good To Know
An extract is far more concentrated than the same plant in the spice rack, and oregano extract in particular is nothing like a pinch of dried leaf. Talk with your healthcare provider before use, especially if you are pregnant, take a blood thinner, or have gallbladder trouble, since ginger and turmeric both act on bile.

FAQ
Common questions
What is Sodium Caprylate + Oregano?
A five-ingredient capsule: sodium caprylate, a medium-chain fatty acid salt, with extracts of oregano leaf, ginger rhizome, turmeric root and olive leaf. A serving is two capsules, carrying 300 mg each of oregano extract, sodium caprylate and ginger per serving.
How does it work?
Two different kinds of ingredient. The plant extracts are concentrated in phenolic compounds — carvacrol and thymol in oregano, oleuropein in olive leaf, curcuminoids in turmeric, gingerols in ginger — which are the molecules behind their taste and their antioxidant chemistry. The fatty acid is absorbed and burned for energy.
What makes this composition different?
Sodium caprylate is not something you often see in a botanical blend. It is a fatty acid salt, the eight-carbon one found in coconut oil and milk fat. The turmeric is a standardized curcuminoid extract, and the olive leaf is standardized for oleuropein.
Who is it for?
People who like their culinary botanicals concentrated, and who are comfortable with strongly aromatic, bitter plants. The capsule is plant-based. This is not a mild formula, so anyone who finds spices hard going may want something gentler.
What should I know before taking it?
Talk with your healthcare provider before use, especially if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, take a blood thinner, or have gallbladder trouble, since ginger and turmeric both act on bile flow. Oregano extract is concentrated, and some people find strong botanicals hard going on an empty stomach.

Microbial Balance Support
Monolaurin (glycerol monolaurate) is a monoglyceride derived from lauric acid, a medium-chain fatty acid naturally found in coconut oil. It is commonly used in dietary supplements to support microbial balance and immune function. Monolaurin has been studied for its ability to interact with lipid-coated microorganisms and support the body’s natural defense mechanisms. It is often utilized in protocols focused on maintaining gastrointestinal microbial equilibrium and overall immune resilience.
